VFW Post 1841 held its sixth U.S. flag retirement program on Sunday, May 28 at the VFW Hall picnic shelter on US 220 at Trinity. VFW members and others propertly folded several dozen flags community members had dropped off for proper retirement. The Post officers went through a retirement ceremony prior to burning the flags. Any worn U.S. flags can be dropped off at the Post front doors. They will be properly retired in a future program.
