Open Studios-Botetourt and Botetourt County Historical Society, Inc. have partnered for a day to paint (or sketch) the many sights of Historic Fincastle on Saturday, June 7 (rain date June 8). This is an open event for artists of any age or ability.
The Historical Society’s Museum, at 26 East Main Street, Fincastle, will open at 9 a.m. to welcome artists as well as answer questions. Artists will work at their chosen locations around town from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Paintings (or sketches) will be delivered back to the museum for a show and share reception from 3-4 p.m. The public is also invited to stop by to see the artists creating on site and to view their art at the reception.
The Museum will be open all day for visitors to learn more about the history of Fincastle and Botetourt County.
Artist registration fees are $5 for students and $10 for adults. For additional information and to receive a registration form for Paint Fincastle, stop by the museum or email openstudiosbotetourtinfo@gmail.com by Friday, June 6.
