Botetourt Food Pantry volunteers served 131 families and a total of 442 family members during the month of November. On Saturday, November 18, volunteers from the Virginia Western CCAP (Community College Assistance Program), Forest Grove Baptist Church, the Roman Catholic Church of the Transfiguration, and individuals joined together to distribute Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. Area churches and organizations volunteer their time at the Botetourt Food Pantry, housed at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Fincastle, throughout the year.
