Wayne Lee Painter Sr., 80, of Buchanan passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce, Sr. and Elsie Painter; brothers, Bruce, Jr., and Raymond Painter; and former companion, Janie Nichols.
He is survived by his children and spouses, Wayne, Jr. and Tammy Painter, Mark and Mary Painter, Priscilla and Mike Bailey; grandchildren, William Painter and Nikki, Devin Painter and Virginia, Christina Clifton and Ryan, Whitney Smith and Nathan, Taylor Austin and Ben, Trevor Statome and Brigitta, Linsey Bailey and Ryan, and Ben Bailey; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Painter; sister, Clara Joyce and Danny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 1pm Wednesday, February 3, 2021 in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home with the Pastor Kevin Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan.
