At the September 4 meeting of the Daleville/Fincastle Lions, Lion Carole Smith presented a Melvin Jones Fellowship patch and chevron to President Josh Werle. The award was sent by Lions Club International Foundation Chairman of the Board Dr. Naresh Aggarwal. The club banner patch is a symbol of the club’s dedication to serving the world community. This Fellowship Award (LCIF) is the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism. Lion Jim Spitz was the recipient of the club’s Melvin Jones Award during the 2018-19 fiscal year.
