William Francis Siano, 59, of Troutville, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, in Stokesdale, N.C., as a result of injuries he suffered in a traffic accident.
Bill was born in South Amboy, N.J., grew up in Matawan Borough, and made his home in the “Shore” area. He was a Jersey Boy most of his life, but in 2017, he made the move to Troutville with his wife, Karen, to be with their daughter and grandchildren, and begin a new chapter in their lives. Bill was a professional trucker since 1997, doing what he loved the most, driving anything with wheels from dump trucks to low boys to forklifts to tractor-trailers to flatbeds and tankers. Bill also loved motorcycles, airplanes, and cooking, and was somewhat of a trivia expert. Most of all, Bill looked forward to coming home and being with his family. We will all miss his friendly smile, gregarious personality, and his simple down-to-earth attitude about life.
Bill is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karen Berky Siano; their daughter, Deanna Whitacre and her husband, Jeffrey, and their children, Jeffrey Jr., Madeleine, and Timothy, all of Troutville. Bill is also survived by his sons, Anthony Siano and Vincent Siano of New Jersey; sister, Mary Wright of Texas; brothers, Benjamin Siano of Florida and Joseph Siano of Florida; and brother-in-law, John Berky of New Jersey. He wass predeceased by his parents, Benjamin Siano and Betty Rose Truett.
A memorial service for friends and family to celebrate Bill’s life was held on Monday, September 27, at Oakey’s East Chapel on Cloverdale Road in Roanoke from 6-8 p.m.
