The Fincastle Library and the Sestercentennial Committee held a poetry contest during April. Poems were solicited on the subject of history, heritage and pride of place – Botetourt County. Local poet Charles Finn judged the entries. The first place winner’s poem will be included in the sestercentennial brochure to be published next year.
