Buchanan entrepreneur Spring Witt was appointed to the Buchanan Town Council during its August meeting at Town Hall on Monday night. Council selected Witt to fill the vacant seat left open when former council member Rose Jeter resigned from the position in June. Witt will fill the role until this November’s special election. This seat will likely appear on November’s ballot in a special election with the term set to expire December 31, 2026.
