The Botetourt Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) will host its fifth annual Women in the Outdoors (WITO) event on Saturday, June 15. The event will be held at Blue Ridge Vineyard, 1027 Shiloh Drive, Eagle Rock with check-in at 8 a.m. and activities beginning at 8:30.
Activities will include pistol, shotgun and rifle instruction and shooting with certified firearms instructors and a nature adventure. Cost of the event is $35, which includes a membership in the National Wild Turkey Federation, a year’s subscription to Turkey Country magazine, lunch and snacks.
Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
