Randolph College sophomore TJ Piluso, a Lord Botetourt High graduate, was the top finisher for the WildCats when they competed at the NCAA Division III Region IV Wrestling Tournament, hosted by Ohio Northern University on Feb. 27 and 28. TJ placed seventh in the 165-pound weight class, starting with a 7-3 decision over Washington and Jefferson’s Jiovanni DeChicchis and then defeating Wyatt Kinne from Southern Virginia by an 11-6 decision. After falling to Cade Parent from Roanoke by a technical fall in the quarterfinals, Piluso took down King Wright from Hiran by fall. He fell to Muskingum’s Aiden Stecker and then scored a major decision victory over Jacob Potts from Thiel 17-3 in the seventh-place match. The WildCats placed 19th as a team with a total of 16 points. Piluso is a two-time Academic All-American.
