Post-season honors were recently announced for Virginia High School League basketball teams and Lord Botetourt and James River were represented.
For LB, senior Landon Hayes was named first team All-Blue Ridge District and second team All-Region 3D. Also selected to the All-District second team were senior Brady Kish and junior Jairdan Pennix.
For the girls, junior Maggie Hoover was named first team on both the All-Blue Ridge District and All-Region 3D teams. Natalee Bowling, a sophomore, was first team All-District and second team All-region. Senior Jaiden Dann and sophomore Addison Naff were named to the All-District second team.
James River senior Jalen Thompson was named to the second team for both the All-Three Rivers District and All-Region 2C teams. Senior Audrey Benson was a second team All-District choice.
For the boys, Knight junior Riley Carlisle was named second team All-Three Rivers District.
