Residents of Fincastle are being encouraged to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand in beautifying one of the town’s beloved outdoor spaces during the upcoming clean-up event at Big Spring Park.
Scheduled for April 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., the Big Spring Park Clean-Up Day aims to bring the community together for a morning of hands-on work to improve the park’s natural surroundings. Volunteers will focus on a variety of tasks throughout the Nature Trail Park area, including picking up sticks, pulling weeds, planting, cutting small trees, and general cleanup efforts.
Participants are encouraged to come prepared for outdoor work. Suggested items include long pants, work gloves, garden tools, chain saws, loppers, and bug spray.
In the event of rain, the clean-up will be rescheduled for April 12 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
For more information, call the Town Office at 540-473-2200.
All ages and experience levels are welcome to participate.
