Woodland Church Installation Service June 7
Everyone is invited to Woodland Church’s Installation Service for Pastor Caleb Lythgoe. The service will be held Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m. at Woodland Church, 45 Woodland Road, at the intersection of Blacksburg and Country Club Roads.
Special service at Mt. Olivet UMC
“Honoring Our Past and Looking to Our Future” is the theme when Mount Olivet United Methodist Church, Buchanan, holds a worship service in the Mount Olivet Cemetery (Roaring Run) on Sunday, June 7, at 11 a.m. A covered dish luncheon will be at church following the service. Chairs will be provided, but unsure how many will be attend, so please bring a chair if you can.

Pleasant Hill food distribution June 13
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will hold its monthly Food Box Ministry distribution on Saturday, June 13.
Anyone who is in need of food may stop by one of the two pick-up locations from 9- 10:30 a.m.: Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 4930 Country Club Road, Troutville (at the corner of Haymakertown and Country Club Roads) or the Eagle Rock Library, 55 Eagle’s Nest Drive, Eagle Rock.
Fincastle Clothes Closet open dates
Fincastle United Methodist’s Clothes Closet will be open Tuesdays, June 6, 16, and 23, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., and Saturday, June 13, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.in the Family Life Center at 137 S. Church Street. Donations of gently worn, clean clothing and shoes also will be accepted. Call the church office at 540-473-3001 to arrange to bring donations during office hours, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday.
Cloverdale Thrift Store has summer items
The Thrift Store at Cloverdale Church of the Brethren has shorts and more shorts!
It also has capris and summer dresses. Donations are welcome. The Thrift Store is open 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturdays.
Cedar Bluff Baptist VBS
Cedar Bluff Baptist Church is holding Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday, June 14-17. The theme is “Junkyard Redemption.” Cedar Bluff is located at 24822 Lee Highway, Buchanan.
