Peggy Jane Spickard went home to be with her Lord on Monday, July 20, 2026.
Peggy was born on December 1, 1931. She lived 94 wonderful years of her life with her family whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Conrad Spickard Sr., and Esther “Ettie” Thompson Spickard; her siblings, Elmer Conrad Spickard Jr. and wives Mary and Marie; Doris Chewning and husband Trubie; Joyce St. Clair and husband Tom; Adele Ayers and husband Al; Iris Graham and husband Bill; Nancy Clarke; Emmanuel Spickard; and Dale Spickard; and her sister-in-law, Eunice Cook Spickard.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, William “Haynes” Spickard, and her in-laws, Ellsworth Clarke, Sarah Spickard, and Sue Spickard. Peggy leaves many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly and will miss her very much.
The family would like to thank Greg Spickard for taking wonderful care of Peggy for her last 10 years.
A service was held for Peggy at 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Lotz Funeral Home Vinton. Interment followed in Glade Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
