Artist’s reception for Woodie Friday at Thousand Hills

Mark Rader Woodie will be on hand Friday, Jan. 13 from 6-8 p.m. for an artist’s reception that kicks off his show at Land of A Thousand Hills Coffee Co. in Daleville Town Center. The show runs through March 9.

Woodie, a Botetourt native, graduated from Lord Botetourt High School in 1972, earned a degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and with a major in Painting and Print Making, and earned a Master of Art and Liberal Studies degree from Hollins College.

He spent many years teaching before retiring this past spring.

The public is invited to visit with him during the reception Friday and to view his work at the shop.
