The high school swimmers are hoping to get back in the water this week with temperatures expected to rise. Both local schools have meets scheduled for this week, and next week they’ll swim against each other.

Lord Botetourt is at Staunton River on Thursday for a Blue Ridge District dual meet. Next Tuesday, Jan. 17, the Cavaliers will play host to James River and Roanoke Catholic for “Senior Night.”

James River has a home meet on Friday at Hollins University. The Knights will play host to Glenvar, Galax, Radford, George Wythe and Rural Retreat.
