James River High School seniors Logan Vinson and Madison Elliott and junior Marissa Falls participated in the 19th annual Virginia Tech Honor Band Friday-Sunday, Jan. 20-22 in Blacksburg. These students were chosen out of more than 500 submissions across the state to participate n the Honor Band. Then they auditioned and were put into one of four bands that were made up of about 80-100 students each. Madison participated in the Silver Band, Marissa participated in the Orange Band and Logan participated in the Maroon Band. The students performed at Virginia Tech’s Moss Arts Center on campus. With them is JRHS Band Director Kevin English.
