On Saturday, the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office and the Buchanan Volunteer Fire Department helped Buddy Rodgers celebrate his 97th birthday.
“This community came together to show Buddy their appreciation and love,” Botetourt Sheriff Matt Ward said. “As I stood with Buddy and his family, you could see Buddy was deeply moved by the Drive-By Celebration of his birthday.”
The fire department played “Happy Birthday” to Rodgers using bagpipes.
