Bumgarner graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Roanoke with an Advanced Study Diploma and an Associate Degree in Science from Virginia Western Community College. She plans to attend James Madison University and major in psychology.
She is the daughter of Laura Bumgarner and Carl Bumgarner and the granddaughter of Doris and Kerry Camper of Troutville.
Nell Landers was an adult class Sunday School teacher at Troutville Baptist for many years. She also was a well-loved teacher at Troutville Elementary School.
