The Botetourt County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has announced the 2022 Good Citizens from James River High School and Lord Botetourt High School.
James Lively, Lord Botetourt, is the son of Michael and Kendel Lively of Troutville. James has completed the Eagle Scout rank in Boy Scouts and will be a part of the Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets as a VPI Battalion New Cadet. He plans to major in Business Information Technology at the Pamplin School of Business beginning in the fall.
Benjamin Bailey, James River, is the son of Mike and Priscilla Bailey of Fincastle. Ben participated in several clubs, organizations, and sports during his years at James River. He volunteered for various community service programs throughout the Buchanan area. Ben plans to become an electrical engineer or electrician at WestRock.
Both students received a DAR Good Citizen pin and a check sponsored by First Bank.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political organization open to any woman who has lineage to a Patriot who contributed to the success of the American Revolution.
