Open Studios – Botetourt Oct. 22-23

Open Studios – Botetourt, Art in the Country, returns for the 11th Anniversary Tour on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Various studios, workshops and residences around Botetourt County will feature 16 artists in eight locations. Open Studios-Botetourt art tour will extend from Daleville into Fincastle with several stops in between that will feature more artists at each location.

Two new artists are participating, along with the return of many favorite artists. Botetourt artists include Lois Bisese, Ed Bordett, Vera Dickerson, Dan Henderson, Dan Jones, Brett LaGue, Cheryl Miller Lackey (new), Judith F Lochbrunner, Kim Crowder Paderick, Willie Simmons, Jim Stadtlander and Mark Woodie. Guest artists are Courtney Cronin, JD Martin (new), Susan McLaren, and Robin Poteet.

Paintings by James River High School and Lord Botetourt High School art students return this year. Paintings will be found at all the stops on the art tour and will be for sale. All proceeds will be divided between the students and The League for Animal Protection in Fincastle.
