Acoustic Endeavors takes the stage in the historic Buchanan Theatre on Saturday, Feb. 25 for an evening of live music.
Buchanan Revitalization Coordinator Harry Gleason pointed out, “Two things have remained constant about the Buchanan Art Series since its founding in 1995, the support of Bank of Botetourt, and an annual performance featuring one of the region’s favorite bluegrass bands, Acoustic Endeavors.”
The public is invited to biscover firsthand why hundreds of fans follow Acoustic Endeavors wherever they play. Known for their original bluegrass music, the band has been delighted crowds since 1992 throughout Tennessee and Virginia. Acoustic Endeavors covers a wide range of genres embracing contemporary bluegrass, and a variety of folk and Americana sounds.
“This year marks our 23rd year of amazing fun with the folks in Buchanan,” band founder Warren Amberson said, noting, “Our friend, Clarence Mabry will share some of his wonderful original songs to open. We are also proud to announce that Tommy Morse Moss and Billy C. Hart Jr. will be performing with us.
“We create, love and play original music.” Amberson said. “Bluegrass, folk, Americana and acoustic music is our passion.”
Acoustic Endeavors concerts routinely feature the songwriting talents of co-founders Amberson and Kelly Green with titles such as “Flowers for Emily,” “Highway Blues” and “All Those Pennies.”
Fans enjoy the band’s personalized style of performance and heartfelt original bluegrass music performed by band members that also include Dewey Peters and Greg Honeycutt.
Current albums include; Coming of Age Again, Sneak Preview, On A Farm and Ole 22 ½.
Longtime fans will not want to miss the “once-in-a-lifetime” surprise the band has planned for this year’s performance.
