The Lord Botetourt swim team qualified all six relays for the state meet at the Class 3A, Region D meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center last week. LB will send 21 swimmers to the state meet in Richmond.
The Botetourt girls finished second to Cave Spring in the region, 123-107, among nine schools competing. Top three individual finishes for the Cavalier girls included Olivia Bray with a 1st in the 100 butterfly and a 2nd in the 50 free, Miranda Kirtley with a 1st in the 500 free and a 2nd in the 200 and Brooke Heptinstall with a 2nd in the 200 IM and a 3rd in the 100 breast.
The boys team tied Cave Spring for second with 60 points each. Hidden Valley was the team winner with 219. LB’s Ryan Spangler took 4th in the 50 free.
