Amanda Nicole Hosey Keesee, 44, of Troutville, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Amanda was met by the loving arms of her dad, Roger Hosey, along with her paternal grandparents, Truman and Mary Hosey (Big Paw Paw and Maw Maw); also her maternal grandfather, Lewis Perdue (Tiny Paw Paw).

She is survived by her husband, Danny Keesee of Salem; daughter and boyfriend, Dakota Crawford and Dominic Newcomb, along with her first grandbaby that is due in July 2022, all of Blue Ridge; maternal grandmother, Georgia Perdue of Troutville; mother and step-dad, Teresa and Tommy Drummond of Oriskany; sister and brother-in-law, Magan and Tristan Begley, along with her niece and nephew, Nicole and Jacob Begley, all of Fincastle; very special second cousin, Sherry Dooley Bocenagra Cline; very precious fur baby, Prissy; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Per Amanda’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no service. Her ashes will be scattered at private locations. Any contributions may be made to any animal shelter of your choice in Amanda’s memory. Amanda’s family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Fintel and Dr. Rogers and all the staff at Blue Ridge Cancer Center in Salem; also, all the special people at Good Samaritan Hospice. Amanda’s mom, daughter, sister and grandmother would like to thank everyone who called and checked on Amanda, and came and spent time with her, and also who cooked her favorite foods for her. It meant a lot to us. Online condolences may be made at www.botetourtfuneralhome.com.
