The artists of the Gallery By The James will feature two local artists in a combined show and sale titled “Art Along the Country Road” beginning on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
There will be a special reception on the opening day at 2 p.m. at the gallery on Main Street, Buchanan.
The show and sale will showcase the work of James Ardery and Cheryl Miller Lackey, both local artists and members of the Gallery By The James. They are known for the uniqueness of their work. The show will continue through the end of December.
Ardery’s work includes detailed color pencil drawings and paintings of a wide variety of local wildlife, old cars, trains and original acrylic painted landscapes.
Lackey’s work includes original acrylic paintings of old barns, cars, cows, local landmarks and landscapes.
Combined, the work of the two artists accurately portrays “Art Along the Country Road,” show organizers said. “This is a sure to be a delightful show of great interest to the rural Botetourt/Roanoke area.”
Refreshments will be provided at a special reception at 2 p.m. the opening day of the show.
