Attic Productions will bring a different perspective to the world of wizardry when it opens its latest production, “Puffs (or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic),” Thursday at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center in Fincastle.
Written by Matt Cox and directed by Kalee Weimann, “Puffs” follows a group of students who attend a certain famous school of magic during the same seven years as a certain famous boy wizard, only this story focuses on the students who were never destined to save the world.
The fast-paced comedy offers a humorous look at the magical school experience through the eyes of the Puffs, a group known for being loyal, hardworking and perhaps a little less celebrated than some of the school’s more famous students.
The show opens Thursday, Aug. 27, and continues through Sept. 6. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, with 2:30 p.m. matinees on Saturdays and Sundays.
