Attic Productions will host a staged reading of  “Ghosts in the Armoire” by Anthony Neal Friday, June 24 at 7 p.m. in the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center.

This is a new, original work by a local author, which will take the audience on a lighthearted and family-friendly romp into the world of the supernatural, according to a news release from Attic Productions.

In this play, a small group of ghosts are confronted with the problem of how to save their home, and their peaceful rest, from its somewhat unscrupulous current occupants while navigating relationships with those yet to pass.

With a mix of comedy, drama and a dose of “creepy,” this work strives to present a good-natured peek at what may lie on the other side of that final curtain.

Admission is $5 at the door (cash preferred), general admission. No reservations are needed.

The center is at 7490 Roanoke Road (US 220), Fincastle. The box office phone number is 540-473-1001.
