RMMS will have two dates where students will have the opportunity to pick up their schedules, pay fees, and receive help with back-to-school forms in Parent-Portal:
Thursday, July 28, from 1-4 pm
Thursday, Aug 4, from 1-4 pm. (This date will also be an open house time where students and parents will have an opportunity to meet teachers.)
Students and parents will also be able to view their schedules online in ParentPortal beginning July 28.
The 6th-grade/new student orientation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Students will be mailed invitations with their designated tour times.
Central Academy Middle
Central Academy Middle School has announced the following information in preparation for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.
Schedule Pick-up Days are Thursday, July 28, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. or Thursday, August 4, from 1-4 p.m.
There will also be an Open House opportunity for parents and students to meet their teachers during the schedule pick-up opportunity on Thursday, Aug. 4 from 1-4 p.m.
On August 8, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., sixth grade students will spend part of their day at CAMS to ensure a smooth first day of school. They will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, run through their class schedule, and participate in fun and engaging activities. Lunch will be provided. Students should be dropped off by 10 a.m. Parents are invited back at 1:30 p.m for an informational meeting with the administration and the school counselors.
HIGH SCHOOLS
James River High School
JRHS Schedule Pick-up Days are Thursday, July 28, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., or Thursday, Aug. 4, from 3-6 p.m. for all students (grades 9 – 12).
Open House (“Meet your Teachers”) opportunity for parents and students to meet their teachers during the schedule pick-up on Thursday, Aug. 4 (3-6 p.m).
On Schedule Pick-up Days, students and parents will have the opportunity to pick up schedules, pay fees and purchase technology insurance, make parking spot selections, purchase Knights Sports Passes, receive help with back-to-school forms in ParentPortal, join the JRHS PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization), join the JRHS Athletics Booster Club, and/or purchase spirit wear, ask questions, and more.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 9 a.m., ninth graders will be welcomed for Freshmen Orientation. Freshmen should be dropped off before 9 a.m. and picked up at 12 p.m.
Lord Botetourt High School
LBHS Schedule Pick-up Days are Thursday, July 28, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., or Thursday, Aug. 4, from 1-4 p.m for all students (grades 9 – 12).
Open House (“Meet your Teachers”) for parents and students to meet their teachers during the schedule pick-up on Thursday, Aug. 4 (1-4 p.m).
On Schedule Pick-up Days, students and parents will have the opportunity to pick up schedules, pay fees and purchase technology insurance, apply for a parking permit, purchase an LBHS Athletic Pass, receive help with back-to-school forms in ParentPortal (Power School Registration), join the LBHS PTSO (Parent Teacher Student Organization), join the Cavalier Athletic Club, and/or purchase spirit wear, ask questions, and more.
On Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 8:30 a.m., ninth graders will be welcomed for Freshmen Orientation. Freshmen should be dropped off by 9 a.m. and picked up at 11:30 p.m.
