Liz Provost (far left), chair of the Buchanan Presbyterian Church’s Mission & Outreach Committee, is telling Norma Wells, Ann Kern and Judie Robertson why the church was conducting a baked goods sale last Friday in Buchanan. The church is sponsoring the community-wide Rise Against Hunger food-packing day on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. until noon and was raising the needed $4,200 for this project. All of the baked goods completely sold out and raised over $600 towards the food-packing project. The church thanks the community for its support..
