Bank of Botetourt has made application with regulators to expand and relocate its limited service office at Springwood Park in Roanoke and open a standalone, full-service office located at 3232 Electric Rd, Roanoke.

The Cave Spring Office will be 2,660 square feet and include an ATM with deposit capabilities and will continue housing the bank’s mortgage company, Virginia Mountain Mortgage.

The bank anticipates this new location will open in 2019.

“In January of 2016 we opened our mortgage office and then in June of 2016 we opened our limited service branch in Cave Spring. From day one, we have been pleased with the support of the community and opportunity in the area. We are excited to continue to expand our community bank footprint to serve our current and future customers in a banking market that we have been headquartered in for 118 years,” said President and CEO G. Lyn Hayth III.

Virginia Mountain Mortgage offers a wide array of products and services, including mortgage options for purchases, construction loans, investment property loans, and various refinancing options. Bringing branch functions to this location will provide full banking services to new and existing customers. Cyndi Beach Stultz and Donna Brown Vaught, both Vice President- Mortgage Loan Officers, have many years of combined experience in the financial and mortgage industry. Together, they will continue to serve customers from the new Cave Spring Office.

Stultz said, “Our customers and mortgage partners have been very receptive to our presence in the Cave Spring area and we are excited to extend them the additional advantages of a full-service branch. We are appreciative of the commitment made by Bank of Botetourt to further our presence in this area.”

Amie Chernault will continue as Branch Manager for the Bank’s Cave Spring Office. Chernault has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry.

Bank of Botetourt was chartered in 1899 and now operates 12 retail offices in Botetourt, Rockbridge, Roanoke, and Franklin counties and the City of Salem, and operates a mortgage division, Virginia Mountain Mortgage, and a financial services division, Botetourt Wealth Management.
