The Church of the Transfiguration invites the public to Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, October 5, celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Gather at the picnic shelter with your furry friends for the blessing which will begin at 10 a.m. Animals should be under their owners’ control to ensure everyone goes home happy (stuffed animals also welcome).
Donations for St. Francis Service Dogs also will be collected.
The church is located at 7624 Roanoke Road in Fincastle.
