Botetourt County has one team still alive as the Sandlot Super Bowl tournaments reach the semifinals this Saturday. The championship games are at Salem Stadium on November 2.

The Botetourt-Phelps team defeated Franklin County in the 8-U age bracket last Saturday at Bogle Field to advance to the semifinals. Botetourt will play Cave Spring at 10:15 a.m. at Bogle and the winner will advance to the Super Bowl. The Botetourt-Barnes team also played last Saturday in the 8-U tournament but lost to Glenvar and was eliminated.

In the 10-U tournament Botetourt had two teams play at Northside last Saturday. The Botetourt-Bland team was defeated by Vinton and the Botetourt-Reiter team lost to Salem in first round games of the 12-team tournament.
