The Botetourt Beekeepers Association scholarship was established to encourage youth to explore and support apiculture in the community. The $500 scholarship will be awarded annually to a qualified graduating senior.
Applicants must be residents of Botetourt County. The applicants must have been enrolled or be currently enrolled in Botetourt County Public Schools, a private school, or an approved homeschool program during the award year. They must have experience keeping honey bees for a minimum of 9 months within the previous three years
The Botetourt Beekeepers Scholarship Program Committee will review all applications and select a finalist. The scholarship will be awarded to the individual at the May meeting of the Botetourt Beekeepers Association
All scholarship applications must be emailed to botetourtbeekeepersassociation@gmail.com by April 1. Applications will be made available at James River High School and Lord Botetourt High School.
