In support of the workforce of tomorrow, the Botetourt County Chamber of Commerce each year awards three scholarships to graduating seniors: one each from James River and Lord Botetourt High Schools and at the Botetourt Technical Education Center. They will receive a $750 scholarship each, paid directly to the institution they will attending at the beginning of the next school year.
To be considered the applicant must be graduating in the spring of 2020, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5, participated in school and community activities, possess two letters of recommendation and plan on attending an accredited institution.
The scholarship application can be found on both the Lord Botetourt and James River Guidance websites along with the Chamber website. Applications must be returned with all supplemental information by May 1 to the Botetourt Chamber at P.O. Box 81, Fincastle, 24090.
