Botetourt County Farmer’s Market opens for 2023

Botetourt Farmers Market President Mallory White and Market Manager Leslie Crowder welcomed visitors to the first market of the 2023 season.

The Botetourt County Farmers Market opened its 2023 season last Saturday at the Daleville Town Center.

Visitors had the chance to purchase items at the “MAYker’s Market” from several local vendors and had opportunities to participate in activities that included hair braiding with Cassie Lucado of Enchanted Bliss, watercolor painting with local artist Stav Borovich, herb garden planning with Sarah Sowers of Sarah’s Petals, handmade journal crafting with Audrey Ward, and making pottery from start to finish with Karen Wright of Claywright Pottery.

Last Saturday saw the following vendors and items appearing at the market: Enchanted Bliss Spa and Salon, Audrey Ward handcrafted journals, Mary’s Pallette custom artwork, Crafts by Beth, Turquoise Thread, Varsity Spa, Mountain Valley Art, Microwaveable bowl coozies ,Scones by Sydney, Judy’s Decomesh Wreaths, Hillside Plants & Produce, C&F Farms – Leave It Better Than You Found It, Clover’s Microgreens, Eggie Lopes, By the Dozen cookies & more, woodcrafter items & bibs, Mountain Thyme Honey, Stav Borovich art, pendants, Sarah’s Petals, and Williamson Farms.

The next market takes place this Saturday, May 13. The Botetourt Farmers Market is up and running from 8:30 a.m. until noon every Saturday morning through October.
