Local businesses have the power to shape community attitudes about public schools, and the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) Business Honor Roll is a platform for school divisions to acknowledge their invaluable support. Businesses, whether large corporations or family-owned enterprises, play a vital role in enhancing our communities and local schools.

Through in-kind or financial contributions, scholarship donations, sponsorship of extracurricular activities and field trips, internship opportunities, and volunteerism, these businesses enrich the educational experience for students and staff alike.

The Botetourt County School Board proudly nominates the following for this year’s VSBA Business Honor Roll:

  • Altec Industries, Inc.
  • MAAG Gala, Inc.
  • Virginia Cooperative Extension / Tyler Painter

These businesses and individuals have demonstrated exemplary commitment to Botetourt County Public Schools, providing countless learning opportunities, enrichment, and resources. “Their contributions make a tangible difference in the quality of education and the overall well-being of our community,” said Anna Weddle, Botetourt County School Board Chair.
