Two James River High School and Lord Botetourt High seniors were among the 41 nominees for this year’s B’nai B’rith Awards, with winners announced at a banquet June 15 at the Hotel Roanoke. The award recognizes senior athletes from Roanoke Valley schools judged on athletic achievement, scholarship and personal life. James River nominees were twins Gavin Binns (left in photo) and sister Kaia Binns (second from left). Nominated from Lord Botetourt were Eric Duncan (third from left) and Jaiden Dann (far right). The overall winners were Elijah Thomas of William Fleming for the boys and Lydia Pratt of Radford for the girls.
