Botetourt County Fire & EMS will place three new ambulances into service this week, officials announced last Thursday.

The ambulances, ordered in October 2022, were delivered near the end of 2025 and are now ready to serve the Botetourt County community.

The public is invited to attend push-in ceremonies for each apparatus at the following locations:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. at Buchanan Station 3, 19670 Main Street, Buchanan
  • Thursday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m. at Fincastle Station 4, 25 Vine Street, Fincastle
  • Friday, Jan. 16, at 9 a.m. at Read Mountain Station 7, 43 Eastpark Drive, Roanoke

The new ambulances will replace aging, high-mileage units throughout the fleet and refresh primary service ambulances staffed to respond 24 hours a day in these service areas.

County officials expressed appreciation for community support in providing the new ambulances, which will enhance emergency medical services for residents and visitors.
