The Botetourt Family YMCA is excited to announce a new endeavor that will impact the lives of families within the Botetourt County area. The Botetourt YMCA Early Learning Center in Daleville is in the Certification Process with a projected opening date of September 12.
The YMCA Early Learning Center will be located within the Botetourt Family YMCA; adjacent to the Daleville Town Center. This program will provide care for 16 children ages 3-5 years old from 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday. In partnership with the United Way, 10 of these spaces will be grant-funded for families who qualify.
“One of life’s great gifts is to positively influence the lives of children,” says Rob Lough, Branch Executive Director at the Botetourt Family YMCA. “As we invest in young people, fueling their imaginations and developing their academic and social skills, we are supporting families, communities, and our shared future.”
The Botetourt YMCA Early Learning Center will provide a safe and welcoming environment that focuses on developing essential physical, cognitive, social, and emotional skills through creative play and hands-on experiences. A benefit of being housed inside of the Botetourt Family YMCA is easy access to the all-inclusive Addy Grace Playground, gymnasium, and Community Room.
“The new YMCA Early Learning Center is just another example of the Y stepping forward,” says Mark Johnson, the CEO and President of the YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge. “Families need us more than ever and we are looking forward to continuing bringing quality childcare to the community”.
