Conference 31 team tennis tournaments are being held this week, with championship matches scheduled for Thursday night.

Lord Botetourt’s girls opened conference play with a 5-0 win over Staunton River on Monday night. The girls were scheduled to play at Alleghany on Tuesday, and the winner advances to Thursday’s final at the site of the top remaining seed.

The LB boys are the second seed in the tournament, so they received a first round bye on Monday. The Cavaliers were scheduled to host Alleghany at Hollins University on Tuesday in the semifinals, with the finals scheduled for Thursday. Rockbridge is the top seed and would host LB if both advance to the championship match.

The LB boys and girls finished the regular season with 9-0 wins over Staunton River last week.

The Conference 31 individual singles and doubles will be held next week on Tuesday and Wednesday. The boys will play at Rockbridge and the girls are at Alleghany.
