The Lord Botetourt and James River wrestlers are both scheduled to compete in the Western Albemarle Tournament in Crozet on Saturday.

The tournament is a dual team format.

Both Botetourt County teams were forced to stay home last weekend due to inclement weather. James River was scheduled to wrestle in the Madison County tournament, which was rescheduled from its original December date. If it’s rescheduled again River won’t go, with no open dates available.

The Knights were scheduled to wrestle against Northside and Roanoke Catholic at Northside on Tuesday of this week, but that was rescheduled for this Thursday, Jan. 12.

Lord Botetourt was snowed out of the West Virginia Armory Duals last weekend. The Cavaliers picked up a date tonight, January 11, at Heritage instead. Halifax, Amherst and host Heritage will join LB in Lynchburg.

This Saturday, LB and River will both compete in the Western Albemarle Tournament, a dual tournament that will include a dozen teams.

Next Wednesday, Jan. 18, both teams have home matches. LB will host William Byrd and River will take on Alleghany, Covington and Glenvar.
