The Botetourt Retired Educators met on Monday, Sept. 9 at Bellacino’s in Daleville. Donations from members were collected for the Orchard Hills Achievement Center, which operates an after-school program for Botetourt County students. Chuck Swope from Creekside Insurance Advisors presented a program outlining services that the company provides for Virginia Retired Teachers Association members.
The next meeting of the BRE will be on November 11 at Wheatland Lutheran Church. Dr. Lisa Chen, superintendent of Botetourt County Schools, will be the speaker.
