Botetourt Sports Complex is site of annual ‘Botetourt Bash’

The Lord Botetourt and James River softball teams will host the annual “Botetourt Bash” event over two days at the Botetourt Sports Complex in Daleville this weekend. Games will be held Friday night and most of the day Saturday.

Varsity and jayvees teams will be competing in the Bash. Varsity action begins Friday evening at 6 with James River taking on St. Margaret’s School on Field 3 and Tazewell against Liberty on Field 2. At 8 p.m. LB will play Greenbrier Christian Academy and Craig County will play St. Catherine’s School.

On Saturday games begin at 9 a.m. with Amanda Cleercreek against St. Catherine’s and James River against Liberty. At 11 a.m. Amanda Cleercreek and St. Margaret’s play, as well as James River against Greenbrier Christian. The 1 p.m. games match Craig and Tazewell and LB and Liberty, and the final matchups of the day are at 3 p.m. as LB plays Tazewell, Craig meets St. Margaret’s and Greenbrier Christian battles Amanda Cleercreek.

Junior varsity games are scheduled for Saturday with James River, LB, Craig County, Tazewell, Liberty and Franklin County competing.  James River will play at 9 a.m. against Craig and 1 p.m. against Franklin County. LB will play at 9 a.m. against Tazewell and 1 p.m. against Liberty.
