The Lord Botetourt girls won their third straight soccer game, all by shutout, when they defeated Northside in Daleville last Friday, 3-0.
Kendall Nixon had two goals for LB to lead the charge while Maggie Hoover scored the other. Luci Rock had two assists and Ella Fletcher also had a helper.
It was the third straight shutout win for the Cavaliers, who improved to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in the district. Last Tuesday the Cavs shut out William Fleming, 9-0, as Taylor Jones and Reagan Helms both had three-goal hat tricks. Then, a night later in Lynchburg, the girls defeated E.C. Glass in a non-district game, 2-0. Jones had a goal and an assist and Emery Collins scored off a Helms assist.
The Cavaliers were scheduled to play at home against Franklin County on Tuesday but results were too late for publication. They’re back home tonight to host Salem on the Daleville pitch.
