The Lord Botetourt boys’ basketball team will be home this Friday to host Staunton River in a Blue Ridge District basketball game. It will be “Rec Night” in Daleville.
The Cavaliers were at Franklin County Tuesday but results were too late for publication. Botetourt was 2-7 after opening the New Year with a 59-36 loss at Abingdon High on Jan. 2. Rylan Lavinder led the Cavs with a dozen points.
“We had a rough night shooting from the field and the free throw line,” said LB coach Josh Aliveto. “Even though we were able to win the third quarter, we were not able to overcome our struggles shooting the ball.”
LB is at William Byrd next Tuesday, Jan. 13.
