The Lord Botetourt boys will be home on Friday night to play host to William Fleming in a Blue Ridge District basketball game.

The Knights were 12-4 coming into the week and LB took a 5-13 record to Jefferson Forest on Tuesday night.

Botetourt snapped a seven-game losing streak last week with a 63-42 win over Rockbridge County on January 24. The Cavaliers led the whole game and had three boys in double figures, topped by Evan Eller with 16 points. Max Burke had 13 points and nine rebounds and Noah Taylor had 13 points and seven assists.

“It was our most complete game of the season,” said LB coach Chad Conner. “We played well in all aspects of the game.”

On Friday the Cavs traveled to Low Moor to play Alleghany and dropped a 74-49 decision. Burke had 10 points and Kris Call had seven points and eight rebounds.

Botetourt will close out the regular season with two games next week. The Cavaliers will be at William Byrd on Tuesday, then host Staunton River on February 10.

Staunton River will host the Conference 31 tournament, which is scheduled for February 13, 15 and 17.
