Opponents were yet to be determined, but both Lord Botetourt tennis teams will begin region play as the host team Thursday. Both will be played at 4:30 p.m. on the Elizabeth Campus courts at Roanoke College, right next to the Salem YMCA.

The girls come in at 7-2 after defeating Northside, 9-0, and sweeping William Fleming in a doubleheader, both by 9-0 scores, last week.

The girls played eight-game sets in the win over Northside at Walrond Park. Singles winners were Leah Germain, Jordan Coffey, Delaney Dennis, Olivia Turner, Ann Frittman and Rylee White, and the Cavaliers swept the doubles.

On Friday the Terriers were up 3-0 to start each match as Fleming only had four girls and had to forfeit two singles and a doubles. In the first match LB won 8-0 in all matches and in the second match the Cavs dropped just three games total.

The boys are 7-1. They beat Northside 6-3 and also shutout Fleming twice in the final week of the regular season. Both Tyler Meade, at number one singles, and Jackson Wolfe, at five, finished the regular season undefeated in singles play.
