Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative (CBEC) is inviting local students and children to help celebrate the men and women who keep the lights on by participating in its fourth annual Lineworker Appreciation Day Coloring Contest.

The contest runs through Feb. 13 and is open to all students and children in the community. Participants are encouraged to use their creativity to decorate a special coloring sheet honoring lineworkers, whose work will be recognized nationally on Lineworker Appreciation Day, April 18.

Every child who submits an entry will receive a special gift from CBEC. One grand prize winner will be selected to receive a $50 gift card, and the winning artwork will be featured in Cooperative Living magazine.

Completed entries may be emailed to maiya.ashby@cbec.coop, dropped off in person at the office in New Castle, or mailed to the CBEC office at P.O. Box 265, New Castle, 24127.

The official contest rules and the printable coloring sheet are available on CBEC’s website.

CBEC officials encourage families, schools and community members to spread the word and help recognize local lineworkers for their dedication and service to the community.
