Honey Day will take place on National Honey Bee Day, Saturday, Aug. 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Daleville Town Center. This special market event will feature a variety of honey-themed activities and vendors.

Several local honey producers will be in attendance, including G-Bees, recent winners at the Botetourt County Fair. Complimentary honey tastings will be available at the Brent Hershey State Farm Insurance tent, and the Botetourt County Library will offer activities for children.

Alongside the honey-themed offerings, the Botetourt County Farmers Market will include its popular vendors providing fresh produce, flowers, meats, and artisan goods. Special treats prepared for the day include:

  • Baklava from By the Dozen
  • Honey lavender scones from Scones by Sydney
  • Fresh sourdough from The Bread Shed

Summit Sips and The Local Lemon will also be on-site with refreshing beverages.

Spread the word about this community event. The next themed market day, Apple Day, is scheduled for September 13.
