“A Celtic Christmas” featuring local Irish music group Kinnfolk along with special guests Appalachian Piping Academy will take place on Saturday, December 9 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Daleville. The festive evening celebrating the Christmas season begins at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
Kinnfolk, noted for their lively Irish jigs and reels as well as Celtic-inspired Christmas tunes, will fill the church with the joyful sounds and joining them as special guests will be the pipers and drummers of the Appalachian Piping Academy. The academy trains students of all ages in the rich tradition of bagpiping and takes part in many of the area parades.
Tickets are $20 and free for children under 5. All proceeds from the concert will go to support The Agape Center in its efforts to aid families in need in the Roanoke area and the ministry programs at St. Mark’s.
